SOUTH VIEW My assignment was to create some kind of children's activity area in this empty room. I chose an interactive, roll-playing environment with an "edutainment" barn, classroom, and playhouse (see next image) Carriage Hill Farm is an old German Baptist farm, turned into a working historical farm attraction, and operated by the Parks Department. This Visitor Center was a relatively recent addition. It included a theater, a museum, a gift shop, and this children's activity area. This was an EverBlest original concept design. |

NORTH VIEW This is the view from the opposite end of the room. The house was furnished with period toys and make-believe household furniture, etc. |

DESIGN CONTROL DRAWINGS This is an example of "design control drawings" typical of an Industrial Designer. Their purpose is to assure that the overall appearance looks like what the designer wants. These are not detailed blueprints that describe every nuance of how to precisely build the project. As long as it ends up looking like what we want, we leave the construction choices up to the builder. |
